Acuvue 2 contact lenses by Johnson & Johnson were first introduced in 1999 and today are still the world;s most popular contact lens. Acuvue 2 is composed of 42% Polymer and 58% water, a material called Etafilcon A and is designed to be worn as a fortnightly disposable contact lens. Acuvue 2 uses a specially designed edge to give wearers excellent comfort and contains a light blue handling tint to make insertion simple. Acuvue 2 is also made as a coloured contact lens called Acuvue 2 Colors however, this is not yet available in Australia.
